UPDATE: It seems that the video is made by AI. I contacted the channel owner but no reply. So this is a made up story.

A huge shift in tech: Now Lenovo sells PCs and laptops with pre-installed Linux and provide full support.

This makes me as Ubuntu user very happy.

Buy a Lenovo Linux PC/laptop and enjoy a computer that belongs to you and doesn't spy on you like Windows 11.

Bill Gates FURIOUS As Lenovo DITCHES Windows For Linux

YouTube
@sslaia the Lenovo website shows many laptops (Thinkpad) that are « AI ready ». What is that ? Do we pay more because of that ?
@pierre_bernard According to the video, you'd have to pay extra now for Windows and you'd have to ask for it. AI PC is heavily marketed by Microsoft.
@sslaia so, if you want to purchase a laptop for Linux, you should avoid “AI PC” ?

@pierre_bernard @sslaia It will probably run Linux just fine and if you want to use a *local* AI application under Linux, that application can benefit from the additional NPU that is present besides the regular CPU and GPU in "AI PCs".

It's partly also a Microsoft-related marketing term. See this article: https://www.tomshardware.com/laptops/what-is-an-ai-pc

What is an AI PC and do you actually need one?

AI PCs are all the rage, but what actually is an AI PC, anyway?
