30 issues into this I'm a bit curious. If you feel like sharing: What do you think of Scrolls so far? Is it still interesting? Is there something you'd like to see in there that I haven't done? Is there something I've done a little of that you'd like more of? Any other feedback, good or bad, is always welcome!

Have a great weekend! 👋

@shellsharks I like the way you present Scrolls! It's more cozy than a simple bulleted list.
@kitkatwastaken Thanks! 🧡 - The more narrative linking style is what makes this a little more fun to create (and hopefully more fun to consume). I see a lot of “newsletters” or “roundups” that are either just a list of links, or a bulleted list of links with brief descriptions and didn’t want to replicate that exact formula. I get a bit list-ey in my infosec section but oh well 🤷‍♂️
@shellsharks yes still interesting and still happy about every new issue. Thanks for the nice curration 😍
@shellsharks I find it very interesting and always look forward to reading and exploring it. I like that you add your links "in text", I've been experimenting more with that as well. One minor point: when my eyes are tired, it's sometimes hard to see what's a link and what isn't. Maybe you could add underlines, but that's a personal design decision of course. Keep up the great work, I'm a fan!

@shellsharks, I enjoy the idea of presenting the list as links embedded in text. I think it gives the reader a choice whether to just go through links or engage with the scroll on a deeper, more personal level

It would be really handy though if visited links would have at least some kind of indication they were already clicked on...

@strider Oh good point. I don’t know how I hadn’t considered this. I’ll work on adding that 👍. Thanks for the suggestion!

And thanks for the kind words on Scrolls 🤗

@strider I’ve made this adjustment (a new link color for visited links) in just the Scrolls posts =). Probably pretty useful given how much I link to in there =). Thanks again for the idea!
@shellsharks, subtle but visible, nice!
I can reassure it’s very useful (for at least one person)
@strider What “theme” are you using if I might ask? (e.g. dark mode, light mode, etc..). There’s a theme toggle in the hamburger menu too you can try toggling through diff color schemes I have. I’m still not happy overall with my color picks from an aesthetic and accessibility perspective but just haven’t found time to really fiddle with them. I’m no web designer sadly 😕. Just curious if the theme you are using has a little worse contrast then any of the others 🤷‍♂️

@shellsharks, oooh, I see now

I guess the main problem with accessibility here is the accessibility of the toggle button itself  it's tucked into menu and menu is accessible only on the main page (i.e. I wouldn't be able to change theme from /scrolls landing page)

The default theme for me was the gray one (and is my favourite). The contrast in gray and white themes is good but in the dark one I completely stopped seeing visited links after reading a few sentences

@strider I broke down last night and made some changes to my styling. Dark mode is now default (instead of the “classic” theme). Both dark and light modes now underline links (instead of coloring them), and I made a few tweaks to improve contrast-ey-ness. Hopefully legibility is better.
