šŸ“œ Scrolls 30 is now out! Check it out for all the usual #indieweb, #fediverse & #Infosec / #cybersecurity goodies.

30 issues into this I'm a bit curious. If you feel like sharing: What do you think of Scrolls so far? Is it still interesting? Is there something you'd like to see in there that I haven't done? Is there something I've done a little of that you'd like more of? Any other feedback, good or bad, is always welcome!

Have a great weekend! šŸ‘‹

@shellsharks, I enjoy the idea of presenting the list as links embedded in text. I think it gives the reader a choice whether to just go through links or engage with the scroll on a deeper, more personal level

It would be really handy though if visited links would have at least some kind of indication they were already clicked on...

@strider I’ve made this adjustment (a new link color for visited links) in just the Scrolls posts =). Probably pretty useful given how much I link to in there =). Thanks again for the idea!
@shellsharks, subtle but visible, nice!
I can reassure it’s very useful (for at least one person)
@strider What ā€œthemeā€ are you using if I might ask? (e.g. dark mode, light mode, etc..). There’s a theme toggle in the hamburger menu too you can try toggling through diff color schemes I have. I’m still not happy overall with my color picks from an aesthetic and accessibility perspective but just haven’t found time to really fiddle with them. I’m no web designer sadly šŸ˜•. Just curious if the theme you are using has a little worse contrast then any of the others šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

@shellsharks, oooh, I see now

I guess the main problem with accessibility here is the accessibility of the toggle button itself  it's tucked into menu and menu is accessible only on the main page (i.e. I wouldn't be able to change theme from /scrolls landing page)

The default theme for me was the gray one (and is my favourite). The contrast in gray and white themes is good but in the dark one I completely stopped seeing visited links after reading a few sentences

@strider I broke down last night and made some changes to my styling. Dark mode is now default (instead of the ā€œclassicā€ theme). Both dark and light modes now underline links (instead of coloring them), and I made a few tweaks to improve contrast-ey-ness. Hopefully legibility is better.
