@elfunrokr @chiraag What’s interesting about this executive order is that it will require cooperation from NYPD - and he probably wouldn’t have signed it if NYPD weren’t on board.

That’s how it worked with a similar county executive order where I live.

@elfunrokr Now lets see if they follow it (I doubt it), they were barred from using parks and city property in Minneapolis and just kept using it anyways, it has no teeth unless the city and state leadership orders the police to actually arrest and charge on-duty ICE.

read something the other day that the NYC parks dept leased garage space on one of the west side piers to ICE a few years ago and it's up for renewal soon.
obviously won't be renewed but in the meantime compliance will be difficult to enforce
