Curious to know what repairability is like on the new Jony Ive designed Ferrari Luce.
Knowing Ive, it's completely glued/welded shut. If it breaks down you're expected to throw it out and buy a new one.

Holy shit, i did it, lol. It looks terrible, but it works.
For people who haven't been keeping up with this project, I've been doing ceramics for a couple years now, and recently people kept tagging me in posts about a European feminist hacker collective that was making circuit boards out of court they dug out of the ground and fired in a campfire.
After having an epiphany about some experimental copper ceramics glazes i made last year, i thought i would see if i could solder to them, and i found that i could.
Sooo ... I made a stamp and stamped out some really basic boards for an astable multivibrator (two blinky lights) circuit. I filled the recessed traces with copper powder and had them fired in our pottery kiln.
Now i have ceramic circuit boards.

Worth reading the whole thread.
This proposed data center is larger than the city of San Francisco (62 sq mi?!) and would use more power alone than the entire state of Utah consumes.

@davepolaschek Saw this right after your post about selling your BMW.

Next: TSMC builds fusion energy plant to supply -both- their energy and helium demands.
@briankrebs So, maybe this is just a way into conning Americans into needlessly getting new passports with Tяump's face plastered on them?

This.
Gather up all the far-right into one spot (say, a spare Dakota) and fence them off. Let them have their theocracy, guns, racism, misogyny, etc. in their own special little haven. Give it a few months, maybe a year tops.
It will detonate. All the smart, reasonable people escape; the remainder go to war with each other.
These are people that fundamentally don't get along with other people.
So this is weird: I got an email from [email protected] claiming "Our records indicate your U.S. passport will expire within 1 year."
This is wrong - my passport is good for another six years. Anybody else seen this?
My first thought of course was "scam", but the handful of links in the email all go directly to legit and obvious US State Department (state.gov) sites about how to renew your passport.
