❄️ Throwback to the best #barnfind location ever! Expédition Antarctique 1966 : The Belgian Sno-Cats

Three bright orange Tucker Sno-Cats remain in a Belgian barn after the 1966 Belgo-Dutch expedition to East Antarctica. While others are in museums, these were kept privately and left in this old barn.

The sides of the vehicles bear the Expédition Antarctique 1966 logo, reportedly designed by Tintin artist Hergé in 1957.

@ObsidianUrbex Thank you! The wind tunnel control room and these pictures touch something very special, a post-war vision of a future that looked somewhat different from the one we are living in! I love all of your work, but these are very special, very evocative.
