My neighboors behind me have two dogs, often out in their chain link fenced yard boardering mine. One of them, Ace, is a black lab. The other is yellow and white. Once a day I give them each treats, if they are out when I am. Sometimes this doesn't happen till evening, and when it does, I can clearly see the one dog. But Ace is just sound which I follow to put the treat through the fence. It vanishes into the void. The void is gone.
