I know they are on the market. 2 problems for me:
1. None of them has physical qwerty
2. Lot of apps do not work without gapps

Somehow I still do think #EU can do much more in this area. When IT company can get fined for pushing their own browser (which can be easily replaced), then locked in backup methods should also be penalised

You could jailbreak your phone. I'm too afraid to do mine but that's a solution.

I often do, but some phones cannot be hacked and my last one worked horrible with custom fw
