🦌it's called nvidia because you load up your linux PC and have no vidia on your screen
🐭anyone being like "well I use linux and I never had that happen" we use debian, having no graphics is an integral part of the setup process

@roxy I consider #TUI / #CLI @ 80×25 "graphics"...

  • Espechally since it's still a friggin' wizard any not something you've to manually partition by hand...

#Sarcasm aside, I really want a "novideo" sticker & spoof animation.

@roxy I tried switching to debian a little while back because I kept seeing everyone saying it was the most stable and headache-free way to run linux. That was not my experience unfortunately, and I ended up hopping again not long after.
@piper 🦌 debian is very stable and once you set it up you never have to worry about it again. the problem is that you have to set it up, which can often require a LOT of interaction with the terminal
@roxy @piper It could be easier with the live ISOs (we use the live KDE one) but even with those, yeahhh.

@roxy In my experience anyone who says "well I use linux and I never had that happen" can suck a whole bushel of cactuses.

"Cool, I'm glad for you, but its happening to me" is my usual response.

@roxy unfortunately, this is one of many reasons why I won't use any distribution that is a Debian or Ubuntu derivative unless it's PikaOS because that's the only one that decides to put in bleeding Edge gaming drivers my recommendation is to use something that is Fedora or RedHat derivative because they play a bit nicer with Nvidia because of their their Enterprise data Center compatibility
