maybe instead of having an "agile manifesto", you could have made "a union"
listen. if you want to be able to actually demand things of the people paying you. there's one thing that works.
anyways, if a job description says they do agile, there's a 90 percent chance that just means they have a stand-up in the morning and have funny names for their to-do lists
it is pretty funny how the point of a stand up meeting is to keep it quick, but they forgot bosses like to stand and talk
true agile has never been tried

@BestGirlGrace Every time I think of 'Agile' these days, my mind goes to 'Path of Exile' Evasion builds.

Sure, you have a 98% chance to not get hit. But sooner or later something is going to get through that and the only saving grace is one-shot protection and how quick one's reaction time is to hit a potion.

That, and of course, blundering into AoE effects, which I feel tech companies do often.

@BestGirlGrace The real solution to solving critical tech projects is to summon an army of undead minions. Or something. What were we talking about again?

Something something unions are good, more unions in the workforce please~

@BestGirlGrace whats important is having a process, it doesn't matter if our methodology is constantly changing, we have plenty of numbers to graph for management!

My team once doubled our velocity, because we decided to start breaking down "compound requests" into sub-tickets if it wasn't all something we could get approved/applied in the same day or two.

@BestGirlGrace a spectre is haunting san jose
@BestGirlGrace agile can never fail, it can only be failed
@BestGirlGrace and there is even a job that includes stand-up in the job title

Stand-up comedy - Wikipedia

@BestGirlGrace And their standups are way too long

@coriander at every job I've ever had, it's been comical how much longer the stand up is when the boss is there

like real quick in and out or "you gotta stand up for half an hour while the boss talks"

@BestGirlGrace yeah but it doesn’t let you live out your ego driven pseudo intellectual power fantasies at a swanky Utah ski resort (like the one the manifestoers met to manifesto at and went back to put a commemorative plaque on the wall of years later and I wish I was making this up)
@BestGirlGrace
Can't have a union without a code of ethics and can't have that if the biggest employers in have us break the law on the regular.
