I like his strong response, but meeting the definition of treason hinges on whether the US are using "force or violence" here (I don't think they are, at least not yet)

considering the leader of the USA's propensity to threaten military action of late, I think it can be very easily argued that conspiring with that government is coming very very close to the definition of treason.

Particularly (3): Canadian citizen

(b) commits treason if, while in or out of Canada, he does anything mentioned in subsection (2).

(2)(c) conspires with any person to commit high treason or to do anything mentioned in paragraph (a);

(a) uses force or violence for the purpose of overthrowing the government of Canada or a province;
