Just a little note for something that was left out of the alt text: There are police lined up both behind and in front of the line of folks kneeling and praying. You just barely catch a glimpse of them as the camera pans to the right at the end of the video.

Is this an intimidation technique?

@adam I'm not religious and I don't see the point in prayer, but these people are hurting/threatening *no one* by kneeling and praying. It's their constitutional right, as is protesting.

@kctipton @kevinrns As far as I know, just videos from the protest and clergy arrest on instagram that some colleagues were sending to me. But, I was unable to view many of them.

There is at least one Mastodon clergy protesting in Minneapolis today.

@Su_G now that I am re-reading what my friend told me—who was among the clergy arrested—they said that they and 97 others were arrested. So I guess technically 98 clergy.

@adam while the fediverse is extremely important and should be the future, this video is literally all over Instagram (Meta), and Minnesota resistance videos have been everywhere for weeks.

In this case, they can't seem to control the spread of videos of Minnesota protesting ICE, luckily.

It is still mainstream news that refuses to be actual journalists, from NYT to AP to Fox Propaganda. AP hasn't even reported on the protests beyond this video, saying 100 clergy members were arrested.
