With #meta blocking stories about the protests and strike in #Minnessota, it is a reminder of why platforms like the fediverse are important. This is a video of the clergy protest at the MSP airport today, passed along by a colleague, at which 97 clergy were arrested.
JustEnoughDucks@adam while the fediverse is extremely important and should be the future, this video is literally all over Instagram (Meta), and Minnesota resistance videos have been everywhere for weeks.
In this case, they can't seem to control the spread of videos of Minnesota protesting ICE, luckily.
It is still mainstream news that refuses to be actual journalists, from NYT to AP to Fox Propaganda. AP hasn't even reported on the protests beyond this video, saying 100 clergy members were arrested.
