Please join us for some in-house de-escalation training. This training is being provided from curriculum from all the de-escalation training we have taken with Tim Franzen in conjunction with all the de-escalation training videos provided by No Kings partners. You can find these videos on our YouTube page: https://www.youtube.com/@indivisiblecobb **This training is excellent for:** 1.) experienced marshals wanting a refresher; 2.) people with no prior experience who want to learn and become a part of our safety team; 3.) anyone curious about de-escalation and how these skills apply to everyday interactions *Registering for training in no way obligates you for marshaling duties; however; we'd love for you to consider stepping into that role if you feel comfortable and are available. Trained marshals help ensure our events remain safe, organized, and welcoming for everyone.* We are capping this training to 30 to ensure everyone gets the best possible experience. **We will be offering this Wed Mar 4 and Sun Mar 22. Please try to attend one of these (2) events before NK3 on Sat Mar 28th.** Let's get trained up sooner than later and build our peace marshal team while we have sufficient time to do so. **Meeting is in the basement level of the church. Locally this is a small assembly, but we are in solidarity with many other groups throughout the nation demonstrating against Avelo, 287g agreements, and human rights abuses in small cities just like ours. ##### Read all instructions We are taking a stand for ICE abolition and against the removal of individuals without due process — violating the core principles of our republic. This is a call to action. We’re joining forces to demand that Polk County end its involvement in unconstitutional detention policies. # 🪧 Our Demands ✊ Polk County Government, it’s ICE or us. You cannot serve both the people and an agency that tears families apart, starves humans, withholds water, denies medical care, kills people, forces humans into slavery, performs sterilizations without consent, and refuses to recognize U.S. birth certificates and REAL ID. ✊ Polk County residents: Boycott anyone profiting from ICE ✊ Polk County: End 287g agreement. ✊ DHS & James Uthmeier: No Alligator Alley Concentration Camp. Fight for Democracy - Stop the War / Out with ICE [Tysons VA] · Mobilize

This event takes place every Saturday, from 11 am to 12 pm. More than ever, we need you in the fight - we have a roque and megalomaniac president who now has started a war of choice for no reason or ten reasons, depending on when he opens his mouth, leading to a massive and ever-expanding war that should frighten us all. This recklessness is consistent with the lawlessness and brazenness of the megalomaniac's first year in office - the cold-blooded murders on the high seas, the illegal kidnapping of a foreign leader for oil, the threatened invasion of an ally, the abandonment of Ukraine, and the undermining of NATO. Closer to home, remember Alex Pretti and Renee Good. We continue to watch ICE terrorizing our neighbors and setting up detention camps for our immigrant friends to rot in, the non-stop threats to the First Amendment, and the insidious undermining of the rule of law. How much worse can it get? This has got to end. Third Act and Indivisible are sponsoring this weekly Fight for Democracy - Stop the War - Out with ICE protest. We are grassroots groups in all 50 states that believe in the possibility of change and are doing the work to make it happen. We believe that we, the people, through our members, and along with many other organizations, and with millions of residents, can turn around the current march towards autocracy. BUT ONLY WITH YOUR HELP. We are facing attacks on the Constitution, the Rule of Law, every institution we cherish, and every racial, ethnic, religious, and socioeconomic group in this country except that of the billionaire cronies of the regime. Our members will not stay silent, neither here in Northern Virginia nor throughout the country. When all of our values and everything this country stands for are under attack, what do we do? And NOW, we have had involuntarily thrust upon us the unprovoked and unjustified and totally immoral war in the Middle East started by the regime, which will solve nothing, cause immense suffering, and likely leave Iran worse off than before. And leave our national security in tatters. Our Putin/Orban/Kim Jon Un--loving dictator is in the process of taking away all of our Constitutional rights and trying to take away our humanity. STAND UP AGAINST IT ALL. Come out with signs, banners, horns, whistles, pots and pans - whatever you can think of to get the attention of your fellow citizens who are passing by and may not be as focused as they should be on the desperate state of our country. It is a short and sweet rally, only 30 minutes. Response is generally positive.
