I am once again asking why Apple prevents me from using my iPhone at all for a few seconds while it displays a full-screen, uninterruptible, modal animation whenever you connect it to a MagSafe charger.

There’s many time sensitive things I might need to do with my phone that this animation interrupts, including:
• Answering a phone call
• Pausing audio
• Ending a timer

These sorts of things require my immediate attention, especially when audio is playing like in a notification and interacting with my phone stops that audio. Why punish me for docking my phone on a MagSafe charger? No sense can be made here.

@louie Oh man this is the worst!! So many times I get in the car and tell Siri to get me directions to xyz, then pop it on my vent-mounted MagSafe charger. Nope, sorry, no directions for you. Please wait five seconds before trying again.
@louie The animation happens for MagSafe wallets, too. When I grab my wallet and stick it to the back of my phone, I regularly then check my screen for any missed notifications — only for that animation to block everything.

@louie A MagSafe *anything*.

So, like, let's say you have the MagSafe wallet, and it slips out of alignment as you take your iPhone out of your pocket to use it. Then oh, boy—here we go— it's animation time!
