I was wrong. It wasn’t a 138% price increase — that was last October. It’s now 234%.

$2.99 → $10 per mailbox. Per. Month.

At least I have until October to migrate to easyDNS. That decision just got very easy. So long, Rackspace!

@vandal I use Rackspace for my customers, and I just got hit with a 100% price increase. Now I need to decide whether to eat the cost, pass along the cost to customers, or switch providers. It would be a huge pain to move that many accounts so I’m probably looking at one of the first two options.

@DazeEnd Rackspace has been terrible for years. I was with them because they bought the provider I was with before. They don’t deserve our patronage.

@vandal When Instarted with them, they were great. Then they got bought and gutted their support operation.

@DazeEnd @vandal I’ve been a happy Rackspace Email customer for 10+ years, providing “free” emails account to family and friends. Now I need to decide whether to pass the cost to them or find another provider. I get needing to increase the price but going from $2.99 to $10 per mailbox is down right ridiculous.
