Who would have thought that ICE would recruit the wrong, trigger happy people, who would eventually shoot and kill innocent civilians… by recruiting on the disinformation platform X using actual Halo video game graphics and the headline “Destroy the flood”?

They were steering right for it.

@randahl what?! That is insane! Yes, they were recruiting exactly who they wanted.
@randahl yeah. clearly a beaten up hilux is the correct vehicle for that

@randahl I love playing Halo (and other shooter games). However, I am capable of distinguishing fiction from reality.

I would say ICE itself is more akin to the Flood than to the thing ICE says to fight.

@randahl Where did you get that picture from?
@jenselbaek see top right corner.
@randahl Sorry, it was hidden by an Ikon. Howeven, is it really ICE that is the source of the picture

@jenselbaek Try putting the words "Homeland security" and "Finishing this fight" into a search engine, and you'll be able to answer your own question.

@randahl

@randahl
At some point they will look at an enraged crowd and realize this game has no respawn.
(We need a few good FPS players!)

At what point does Tony Stark feed ChatGPT the Boston D manual and let FPS fans operate live action figures? “I am Iron Man!

So, the same EA that was just bought by the house of saud?

@goinfawr @randahl and taken private. Only time will tell what their ultimate motives are, just like everyone continues to learn what Musk's is/was for taking Twitter private and renaming it X.
@randahl Obama and Biden who had the power and plenty of opportunities to abolish them, but they didn't, for example. But then they were both war criminals too..
The US military is embedded in the gaming world. Its target: teen recruits

Amid a recruitment struggle, branches are using huge hits like Fortnite as marketing tools. Some veterans see the practice as unethical – especially given the age of the gaming audience

Who would have thunk recruiting video game playing, trigger happy, unqualified thugs would lead to trouble?
Nothing new here. They been using video games to recruit people for a long time. It was mainly to recruit people in the military though but now they use it for that. They want to make them think it's just like in the video games or something. Or that it's the cool thing to do. No wonder they don't care about people's life and kill innocent civilians it's all a game to them.
@randahl
there is no "right people" they could have recruited
