I last read a #Discworld book five years ago (The Truth). I've never read any of the newer ones, except for Snuff. But I've read all the earlier books up to The Truth.

I made a mad decision: to read the entire Discworld series from the very beginning.

So I'm starting with The Colour of Magic.

I'm back home!

@underzen That's how I initially read them, and I am glad for it. I got to discover the Disc the same way that STP did.

@W6KME I've read most of them in a random order. My first was Feet of Clay, which a university friend lent me around 2010.
It's funny that the copy of The Colour of Magic I'm reading now is a special anniversary edition with Pratchett’s foreword. He writes there that most readers first get into his books by borrowing one from a friend who's currently reading it. Exactly!

@underzen Fascinating as I bought 'I shall wear midnight' for my wife thinking it might be a good bridge for her from Harry Potter to Pratchet. I ended up reading it myself as she'd not got into it after a few pages and now have Feet of Clay in my hands, borrowed from a friend
