Did you know? By replacing your coffee with green tea, you can lose up to 92% of what little joy you still have left in your life.
@Strandjunker eh, what? Is green tea that bad?
@ejner1 @Strandjunker some people do not know how to make proper tea thus they will say it's disgusting
@louisrcouture @ejner1 @Strandjunker Some people have gotten the weird idea that green tea is ”healthy”, so they’re drinking it even though they don’t like it, driving up the prices for us who do.
@ahltorp @ejner1 @Strandjunker well green tea is health y. So is black tea. I am more of a black tea person but I do enjoy the occasional green, and even matcha

@louisrcouture It’s healthy when you live in Tibet and don’t have any other access to the nutrients that tea contains, but that’s hardly relevant for the rest of us. It’s tasty, though.

(To be clear: I mean healthy compared to pure water, not compared to sugared water)

@louisrcouture @ahltorp @Strandjunker I am prone to migraine attacks, which is why I switched to black tea years ago. But I never heard anyone saying green tea is unhealthy in general.
@ejner1 @louisrcouture @ahltorp @Strandjunker Just don't take any green tea concentrates or green tea pills. Those might be bad for liver. Drink tea as tea.
@ejner1 @louisrcouture Tea in general is not unhealthy (except for the caffeine, which can be), but it also doesn’t make you healthier than drinking plain water (excluding hygge/mys effects).

@louisrcouture @ejner1 @Strandjunker to be fair, most green tea you buy at the supermarket has you pouring boiling water on and steeping for 5+ minutes.

That's way too hot and long! No wonder they hate it.

(For those who don't know, as far as I have learned, the water should be a few degrees below boiling (like 90C) and you steep it for like half a minute to a minute)

@draeath @ejner1 @Strandjunker i boil my green tea at 75⁰C for 5 min and for black tea at 100⁰C for 5 min
@louisrcouture @draeath @ejner1 @Strandjunker I do my green tea at about 175 F (80 C) for about 3-4 minutes, but yeah, the one thing we are unanimous about is green tea takes a lower temperature and a shorter steep time than black tea.
@Strandjunker And what % of extra joy does drinking both bring?
@Strandjunker hey ! Some of us prefer green tea 😀
Each to his/her own 🙏👍
@Strandjunker switch to English Breakfast
@Strandjunker
This coffee lover thinks you're 100% right

@Strandjunker

Some of us like green tea.

@VictimOfSimony @Strandjunker And some of us … dare I say it … love the stuff.
@randywalters @VictimOfSimony @Strandjunker Yes, and stop drinking our green tea if you don’t.
@VictimOfSimony @Strandjunker After you try Black, you’ll never go back!
@Strandjunker Step back and leave my coffee and chocolate alone. Otherwise, it may get ugly.

@Strandjunker

For some reason I never got into coffee.

That's probably why I'm always falling asleep.

:)

@Strandjunker

You'll get no argument from me! On the other hand, black tea isn't bad...

@Strandjunker that's why you choose matcha instead
@Strandjunker But..but...but... i did that with my Jasmine Green Tea by replacing that with coffee. Now my joy in life has decreased 9*10^126 percent!
@Strandjunker i had to do that due to health issues with coffee for about two years. Now I can drink coffee again, not much though and not strong one.
I like green tea but yes no coffee does take the joy out of life!
@Strandjunker Yeah but if you replace both with chocolate milk, you can reclaim your childhood, and the world would be a better place if we could all do that.
@Strandjunker @tea is the superior caffeinated drink anyways.

@bruvduroiu @Strandjunker @tea

wrong

tea is leaf water

coffee is seed water

i rest my case

(/s)

@bruvduroiu @Strandjunker @tea

Tea don't taste like coffee, and coffee is what makes my taste buds happy 😊

@Strandjunker you totally got me there... I was already glumly thinking the end of the sentence while reading the start, wondering what the latest fad was going to be telling me my coffee was causing!
@Strandjunker Tea is better than coffee though.
@Strandjunker
I like both, I prefer Black tea for breakfast and coffee in the afternoon. Coffee goes better with cookies and pastries. Green tea in between or evening.
@Strandjunker For me the comparison is green tea - black tea, but yeah green tea tastes like sadness.
@Strandjunker Káva je zdravá. Zelený čaj také, ale nesmí se svařovat vařící vodou. Jenom vodou teplou. Jinak je trpký.
@Strandjunker

2 expresso 😌🤗👋

Thanks
@Strandjunker lassen Sie das bitte.
@Strandjunker
I sure did!
coffee for me is life!
I don't drink anything but coffee, maybe coke this is bad is it not?
who cares.

@Strandjunker
I don't drink coffee. Oh well...

I do like English tea. The black kind. With milk.

@Strandjunker Preach! Green tea tastes like lawn clippings.
@kyle @Strandjunker I disagree green tea is good coffee is bleh!

@Strandjunker

You obviously haven't been buying the good Green Tea.
