@doomski Oh, how exciting! I wasn't sure what I was going to be doing tonight. I guess this is how I will bring in the new year.
@Judeau oh man, this made me smile so much. I hope you enjoyed it! And thanks so much for the encouragement

The game was super charming. The music, graphics, sound effects, etc.

I'm not great at games like this so I found it very intense for such a cute game but also very rewarding.

The large diamonds acting as checkpoints were in just the right places to keep me from getting frustrated.

There are a lot of things to collect that make it a good high score challenge. I could also see people speedrunning this.

There was only one issue that I personally had...

The only issues that I had were things getting in the way of the camera.

A game like this requires precision jumping & occasionally after positioning the camera right where I needed it, there would be a platform or a cluster of gems blocking the view.

If there were some way to make items or platforms close to the camera less opaque It would help quite a bit.

Other than that, excellent job! It's been a lot of fun following the progress of the game. πŸ‘πŸ‘

@Judeau that's totally understandable. The camera is one of the main scope concessions I made for this project. I will 100% look into a dithering effect now that the project is in the state it's in. I really appreciate the feedback here and the feedback you left :P. Haha don't worry, I don't intend to make much money off this title so I'm not going anywhere :P (not that I would even if I did).

@doomski That's great to hear! A dithering effect would probably be great solution. Hopefully It goes smoothly.

I'm also glad to hear you're sticking around even if the game sells millions copies. 😁

@Judeau as always I really appreciate the encouragement. I'm just a person that does all this in their free time so it always means so much to hear words of encouragement πŸ’œ

@doomski I have tried to develop a few games over the course of my life and have yet to finish one. Lol. I have quite the admiration for someone when they manage to make it happen. It is a ton of time and work!

Also, I forgot to mention that I installed the game and played it on my Steam Deck. That is how I beat the first level. It runs perfectly with no issues. So, you also have Steam Deck compatibility bragging rights. 😎
