I've always used it to hash out ideas and thoughts I already have & had, as well as helping me coherently bring things together, especially as it's useful for those who already have some sort of disability or condition that affects their thinking to begin with.
I just had a thought tho... what if some using ChatGPT already had a cognitive impairment? How would those be logged vs those who developed it through usage?
@silverspookgames @tomasino Because I really think there needs to be a distinction between those 2 groups, because then it becomes an explicit statement of "using ChatGPT causes cognitive deficiency", which isn't 100% true; there needs to be more nuance between the two groups so things are shown accurately. Of course, then we get into a further debate... How do those findings compare with similar "AI" agents? Because I think that'd be interesting too, especially as each differs in approach!
@silverspookgames @tomasino I can definitively say though is that "AI" needs to draw a lot less power than it already does, plus the tech industry needs to get a hold of itself regarding it, because it's getting everywhere, to the extent that adding it actually can diminish the functioning of certain things, plus it's contributing to the bubble that's gradually increasing, and thus contributing to what'll be a messy crash a few years later when the bubble eventually bursts!

Also, this could be really bad if the LLM decides to substitute certain groceries that are not compatible with their diet. The LLM could tell someone with a nut allergy a brand of cookies is safe and nut-free while actually containing nuts. I could also see it hallucinate prices. For instance, it tells you a TV is $199 when it is really $899 and of course Walmart charges you the actual price. That could cause some real problems.
