I'm also going to need to patch up the installs myself too, and may still do that for my older Win PCs as there's a possibility that I can patch a little past 1.16.1, though I'd need to look into that some more! Using Stargus would potentially be an option, but it's not been updated since 2022 afaik, though it'll still be interesting to see how I'd fare with it!

So, I ended up having to return to BNet in order to play the most recent version of StarCraft, and StarCraft II, and the OG Diablo II and WC III with the least amount of faff. That said though, I did find a copy of SC 1.16.1 for Windows, which works nicely on Win11, although I didn't find anything for my PM 6500, meaning I'll need to rely upon using ISOs/CDs & serials for installing the game on there and my G3/G4 laptops, so I went and accumulated a bunch of serials for that very thing!
