We are stalled in the middle of nowhere and the train people also don't know why 🥳
People behind me are baffled by the concept of a Quiet Zone. People in front of me have two incredibly smelly dogs.
Turns out the people behind me are also baffled by the concept of cups of coffee coming in different sizes. Ridiculous that one would ask. Utterly outrageous. Obviously they want the largest one.

To be fair: I can be a size nazi. Whenever people ask me about which size I want, I ask things like "how many mLs is a Large?" because otherwise it doesn't mean much to me. Anyway, all of this to say that I probably shouldn't judge other people for their eccentric approach to assessing coffee cup sizes 🤷♀️

Turns out the people behind me actually wanted white coffee, not black, so now that has to be sorted out with the waiter. They are drinking it now, tho. The man is a devoted slurper who also does the post-swallow "aaaaaaaah".

The Baffled Couple is leaving!
The wet dog smell hasn't left the train yet, but I have! Train had caught up on its delay by the time it *almost* reached Köln Hbf, but then there wasn't a free platform available so it gained another 10 minutes delay. That didn't leave me with enough time to buy a sandwich in Düsseldorf, except that my connection also had a 6 minute delay, except that it didn't, except that it did, so now I'm on that train sans snack, in contrast to Smacking Guy next to me.
Aside from smacking and listening to music loud enough to escape his earphones, it turns out that Smacking Guy has a third hobby: making loud phone calls.
A rich life if ever I saw one.
Okay Smacking Man was very kind and polite when he told me that I need not bother getting ready to disembark because we’re delayed and it will take a while 🫠
Artemis@Artemis201 Tbf: other people on the road are also my least favourite part of private transport (or at least the private transport that I have access to), so I guess the conclusion is that I just don’t like other people very much 🥲
