#komoot now has a new heatmap feature that aggregates community traces onto a pink map overlay (for premium subscribers). it clearly shows that the user base seems heavily anchored in Central Europe. it definitely nurtures my itch to plan more bike tours around Europe!

it really seems to be about the user base of the respective app. the #strava heatmap paints a rather different picture. though here the Netherlands really glow…
