There's a part of me that wants to sell my #Ableton license and move over to Bitwig. The chief reason being I want to move from Windows and refuse to move to MacOS.

I'd like an operating system where I have control instead of some American Silicon Valley vendor.

#Bitwig, #Reaper, #Mixbus, even #PreSonus StudioOne has a beta in Linux.

#AbletonLive costing as much as it does gives me pause upgrading from 11 to 12, because for the same price, I can get a cross platform DAW.

im constantly fighting this battle in my head too and the only reason i have stuck with the mac is that their hardware is just too damn good
@rx1f.com well, there is #asahilinux
yes! im keeping my eye on that, seems like it is making good progress the other thing that's been holding me back is the gap in Linux support for my RME interface. but eventually i may grab one of the Bitwig Connects and install Asahi and see how it goes.

@rx1f.com tried an Allen & Heath QU16 on Linux today... worked perfectly :))

With #Bigwig and #PipeWire no less!

CoreAudio and ASIO can be left in the past =D

very nice - do they have a native linux driver? it'll be interesting to see what issues shake out after you've kicked the tires for a while
@rx1f.com no driver. The Qu series are USB class compliant audio interfaces, meaning they support enumeration of I/O, managing the buffer, sample rate & bit rate - so it just works.
