just in case nobody has done it before

@chechar

Shouldn't there be a stick named "AI" down at the base somewhere? If not, there's going to be one soon!

Also I think there should probably be some angry birds en route.

@Quasit @chechar I’d say an AI ball, not a stick. For stability ofcourse

@Quasit @chechar there is a separate pic available with a wedge driven through the stack.

@prefec2 @Quasit @chechar I like the AI as angry bird version 🙃
@Quasit AI should be the blowing wind from one side. 😊 @chechar
@chechar Don't forget the dependencies on DNS and BGP.
@chechar You have won the internet today, my good sir!
@chechar Don't forget Crowdstrike. https://clownstrike.lol
Failing What Matters Most - Your Premier EDR (Endpoint Destruction and Razing) Partner Since 2024!

@arazil you mean the open to affiliate windows kernel ?
Thats not the servers but yes its count
@chechar
@chechar The shortness of that 'support' is highly optimistic.

@chechar

We need some flappy birds firing "LLM", "NFT" and "BTC" missiles at that stack 🙂👍

@chechar Google DNS is in there somewhere… given the number of embedded devices that assume its existence and accessibility.
@chechar cloud architecture
@chechar Where is located the AWS service, deeper ?
@otyugh @chechar "Amazon us-east-2" is one AWS region.
@chechar
comparing this to Randall Munroe's original, I can see the newer digital infrastructure benefits* from modern load balancing.
@chechar I think "gay furries" could be under that last pillar
@chechar we do not use this shitty services. However, there is Bitnami. If they go down many deployments might no longer work.
@chechar
Another brilliant iteration of this classic cartoon about the perils of cyber infrastructure.
Is it just me, or is centralized corporate control's built-in greed making this structure more and more lopsided and fragile?
@Guillotine_Jones @chechar It's almost as if trusting capitalist corporations with nothing but a profit motive to run key infrastructure is a faulty plan.
@chechar Excellent! Now we need to animate it wobbling

@chechar

The bottom one is Curl for sure.

@chechar this made me actually lol
@chechar •acws #acws

Reliance on #AWS n #Cloudflare is *nothing* to be proud of ..

Not at all
@chechar it's curl at the bottom there

@chechar "countless other people"

Like us poor Nebraskans who you just rubbed out of the picture? 😂

@chechar
That Cloudflare pillar looks amazingly stable, perhaps make it look a little scrawnier or gouge out a notch near the bottom

@chechar

Aren't we past due for a backbone outage?

@chechar that “open source project that you hadn’t even heard about” is also a project used buy the big tech blocks above it without ever being funded by them.
@macronaut @chechar They spam it with AI generated security reports and threaten to publish the findings if a patch is not created within their arbitrary timeline.
@chechar oh come on, nobody actually relies on Azure for anything
@chechar @jpmens this is ridiculous! these four little sticks couldn't have possibly elevated this infrastructure to the cloud! 🧐🧐🧐
@ranvel It's not drawn to scale. Some of those sticks are really long.
@chechar funny, i did a similar one yesterday, but only posted on the work chat 😂
@chechar missing: some small proprietary box you’re not allowed to change that recently fired most of its developers and IT staff.

@ArneBab @chechar

... and you just realised that you can't find the rack it's in.

... and it just started beeping.

... and they now want a subscription that is a double-digit percentage of your department's budget.

... and the VP just announced another mission-critical project that depends on it.

@juliancalaby @ArneBab @chechar

… that script/tool that an intern wrote 10 years ago.

… the file naming convention that noone can remember why it exists - especially when someone proposes a change.

… Where does that old cable go?

… No, that really needs Java 1.3, not 13. As Browser-Plugin, of course.

@vampirdaddy 🙂

(I once added encryption to startup with java webstart)
@juliancalaby @chechar

Unsere aktuelle Regierung merzt gerade sehr effektiv unser internationales Standing aus...

@chechar

I miss DNS.

Just in case.

😉

@scrumschau @chechar that is "an open source project you hadn't even heard about" because you only know its generic name "DNS"
@chechar aint it too fragile?
@chechar
That nameless open source project could be #curl 😂
@chechar thank goodness not everything depends on CF. I didn't even notice CF failed. I was building my system and using the network actively but nothing changed to me when it went out, I wouldn't even know if I didn't read about that on the Internet,
@chechar @codeneko It disappoints me so much when I see new sites being affected that previously weren't.
@chechar I thought us-east-1 was where all the non redundant services were kept.

@chechar

I saw this one the other day

@chechar got this version from imgur
