How much would it cost to hold an event at the New Yorker on 34th and 8th? You know, the same hotel where Nikola Tesla spent his final years befriending pigeons and where Big Apple Comic Con takes place this Saturday (11/22)?

@draken @2600 Finding an affordable venue in NYC is hard. The city itself owns several (https://www.nyc.gov/site/dcas/business/event-space-rental.page). It sounds fun to rent a classic Gilded Era courthouse for HOPE, but probably not very comfortable, and I bet the wifi stinks.

If you like the Catholic college vibe, I'd try Fordham U. Heading out of the five boroughs, maybe ask Seton Hall or Georgetown, in hope of capitalizing on ancient sports rivalries. Or just appeal directly to the Pope.

@2600 Just saw the email. 😥 hope 16 was my first one, and even though I only did the virtual ticket, I enjoyed it and learned a lot. I was already thinking about how to budget for an in-person ticket next year. Whatever ends up happening, I'll still be looking forward to it.
