@nixCraft
Doesn't solve the issue of batteries can't be replaced.

I won't buy airpods or a $230 Apple sock.

Still regret buying an Apple II 😆

@nixCraft  woaw that is just a vertical line
@freeplay @nixCraft excellent alternative text, thank you. Concise, perfectly functional.
@nixCraft looks like a rooted device is needed ......ehhhhh
@nixCraft Motivation to root my device unlocked!
@JDGeoShack @nixCraft I need to upgrade my phone to a custom ROM anyway, since my phone's official ROM is no longer supported. I guess I can add some modules to hide rooting and developer mode as one of my banks is no longer allowing developer mode and I hate having to rerun adb pair every time after I have to use this bank app.
@qgustavor @nixCraft A bank app not allowing dev mode? Maybe time for a new bank 😉 fr though that sounds annoying, and I feel for you. I am not looking forward to the difficulties of choosing the custom ROM path...it has been over a decade since I last had one!
@JDGeoShack @nixCraft If I could, I have no option, it's a government bank, so if you want to do some things, you have to use it. And, because of that, they give zero fucks, they don't even let the app open in dev mode since some time this year. To be fair, you can easily notice they are using something like Cordova, their app is so badly maintained I guess they added this restriction just to add a security theater.

@nixCraft another fucking link to a binaries-free github.

Next time you go to a restaurant and you order something, perhaps they will take you to the walk-in cooler and say "there you go!"

Fuck github.

@the_turtle @nixCraft you're free to ask for a refund 💜
@the_turtle @nixCraft go to "releases", get the ".apk"
fuck morons
@the_turtle @nixCraft is this one of those things where you say you can’t find it to make someone else find it for you? If so congratulations, I found a bunch of compiled assets in the repo https://github.com/kavishdevar/librepods/releases

@the_turtle @nixCraft I find your reaction extremely funny. Like someone complaining that grocery stores have ingredients instead of full meals. If you don't like it, don't use it! Where else are we (e.g., "software developers") supposed to store things? We store them on sites like Codeberg, Github, or our own private servers running on our home networks.

Just because you don't want to cook yourself doesn't mean you get to complain and bitch that some people happen to cook and bake. If you don't want to do it, then simply don't use it!

@nixCraft

Nick Zentner may find this useful.

@nixCraft this needs a rooted phone because there is a bug in the Android bluetooth stack. Google has been aware of this bug for over a year now but they are refusing to fix it. 🙄
@nixCraft ...oh! Could you do it the other way round, too and unlock LDAC on apple devices?
@nixCraft anyone able unlock the apple watch? I need the b.p. monitoring, but use android.
@nixCraft
Crazy that $4T Apple can’t be bothered to give us an actual EQ setting like all other headphones, but this 1 person managed to deliver that feature on Android as a free open source side project…

@nixCraft Its certainly better then letting apple do their thing, but why anyone would want to buy those is beyond me.

They are rather small and easy to lose and expensive if I recall correctly.

EDIT: comment above me proves this on a crazy level

@nixCraft thanks but I'm gonna pass anyway
