Conjecture

I now believe the US Base in Bahrain was destroyed two weeks ago and NPR got wind of this through sailors returning to the US in need of toiletries. It would explain the emergency WH meeting called today. I think Orange Turd and Kegseth have been keeping this under wraps. I also think that is why so many military brass were removed from duty this week. Today's speculation about hospitalization is a distant second.

was just doing some email/github housekeeping, and checked in on this issue i filed back in 2017... "Ability to style <details>/<summary> to be open (e.g. for print styles)" https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/2084 (98 thumbs-up? oh my!)

had missed that this was actually taken up and implemented (see last comments on that issue)

If a German citizen gets sanctioned by the US government, once this is implemented (later this year), that means they will no longer be able to be a participating member of German society, e.g. to show their (digital) driver's license to traffic police
