I need your opinion. I added a trail effect when tiles are moved. I started with the "brown" version. But it may be to prominent, especially since it has no mechanic at all in the game. Do you think it should be less prominent like in the right image?

@grau
Yeah, green is better if it is only for decoration. If I remember correctly the first Zelda did it that way except when the path was meant to be followed
@benjiButo thanks for the opinion. I also tend to the green option.
@grau
May I ask what kind of game this is? I have a certain goose addiction and collect all kinds of games with geese in them. There is one in your screenshot, so my obsession kicks in. Must. Have. It.
@grau
Oh wait. The beak is more chicken but the body is goose. I am confused now 😅
@benjiButo this game will be a puzzle word game. The goal is to build valid crosswords. If you know bamangrams, it is inspired by this game. And the player will be a goose. That's also the origin of the game name. Obgoose = obtuse / goose. :)

@grau green is more aesthetic

From screenshot alone I thought it did have relevance gameplay wise esp with a color change. Like low walls you can walk around but not push blocks through the higher grass looking like another z layer

In game it would probably have been clear though
