👍 So I was afraid this book was overhyped and went in skeptical. But I really enjoyed it. I loved the cat and mouse games the FMC and MMC played. Poor Gideon was such a trauma baby!! This book had tropes I don’t like (lopsided love triangle WITH BROTHERS and miscommunication) BUT when you have a witch hunter and witch fall in love, things are going to be messy. Overall, it was not gimmicky and done well, so no trope jail. There were so many dramatic moments and close calls that it kept me engaged, and looking forward to reading every day 😍
