#Riven in VR is pretty much everything I was hoping would be. This is fulfilling my childhood dream of actually visiting Riven.

It looks decent in Quest 3 standalone, mostly good enough not to break immersion.

And even only 1.5 hours in there are already many changes I've seen. This is very exciting getting to experience something so familiar yet so new and unexpected at the same time.

My partner asked how long I had been waiting for this game to come out and I told her: since 1997 😄

Robyn Miller has released a soundtrack for the #Riven remake which contains remastered versions of the original soundtrack, 4 additional pieces from the original game, and 7 new compositions made for the remake. There's also a bonus high-rez scan of the first hand-drawn map of the islands.

I did it! I beat new #Riven without looking up any hints! 🎉

What a ride. Incredible game. I feel ready to call this my #GOTY.

It was an amazing gift from #Cyan to give us this game that successfully walks a line between being enough of a familiar, nostalgic recreation of the original to trigger all the feels, but being fresh and new enough to still give me that feeling of playing the game for the first time. It's quite a balancing act and I think Cyan stuck the landing marvelously.

The #Riven remake is now #SteamDeck verified! I played through the whole game on deck, it looks great and runs smoothly IMO.

I did notice some visual artifacts, I am assuming these come from the AMD FSR 2.2 which is enabled by default. I haven't tried turning it off.

I may be biased but this is my early pick for GOTY. Incredibly satisfying if you enjoy old-school graphic adventure/puzzle games. And lots of surprises for seasoned fans.
