This movie is a little above our usual cheap monster fare, but only barely. Good production, some good acting (mostly Lance), the lore of hoe Pumpkinhead works is probably the best part. It's just so involved and planned in a folklore nightmare way.

Pumpkin head is a weird monster. He's not pumpkin headed. If anything his head looks like an early rejected Godzilla design.
He's somehow simple and really complicated at the same time. Great practical suit that changes the human form, but is still just a big pink sack of humanoid flesh and bones.

This movie is kinda mid for me, but I LOVE that final aspect that to raise up Pumpkinhead you are selling your soul to get revenge AND turn your body into the next Pumpkinhead. That is some killer folk horror lore.
