I'm wondering how that qualifies as "original"?
That looks a lot less original than ELIZA.
Or even PARRY encounters the DOCTOR (e.g.

Seems more on par with Louis Rossmann's appeals to humanity with encouraging YouTube users to set their user icons to Clippy. Heralding a time when software assistance were just novelties and not enormous amounts of resource waste while simultaneously paying no heed to international copyright for their data training.
One thing seems true, regardless of era of A"I":
It is BS that people with far too much wealth and power navel gaze over, while ignoring real world problems that their over provisioned resources would be better spent remediating instead such as homelessness (aka "houselessness"), starvation (aka "food scarcity"), etc.
But, why "help the poor" when they can waste money on more Thneeds and keep the money in their circles of power with others who are already excessively rich and powerful?
To paraphrase Doug Engelbart in an interview he gave with Robert X. Cringely, which has since been taken offline (and the video I saved is on a hard drive in storage and I mostly just hope the data is recoverable if and when I do dredge it up), on when J.C.R. Licklider cut (D)ARPA funding to Engelbart's NLS [oNLine System] group (even though Lick's funding was what caused S.R.I. to quietly re-hire Doug, after that had terminated him after he gave the so-called "Mother of All Demos"):
"So Lick asked me: 'how are things going with NLS?' and I told him: 'Great, great! We just hired some women to train users in how to use it.' Lick took great offense to that. He seemed to think that we should be using some sort of artificial intelligence to train the users in how to use the system. So, he cut our funding! Now, it's been around 30 years since that happened, and I still, have NEVER seen any piece of technology that can teach users how to use a system. I don't know where he got the idea that it was possible or something that we should have been doing as a given."
Note: SRI (Stanford Research Institute) had a cross-licensing arrangement with SAIL (Stanford Artificial Intelligence Laboratory) and even Xerox PARC (Palo Alto Research Center). Doug was already clued into what was, at the time, the most advanced A"I" research on Earth.
There are reasons that previous so-called A"I" Winters occurred.
The next one cannot come quickly enough.
