The baddies will surely be doing all of that, so this law will stop nothing

The delegated regulation(EU 2022/30) does require “software compliance verification.” That sounds like Secure Boot to me.

Under the RED=Radio Equipment Directive rules, The #EU could argue to manufacturers that allowing bootloader to be unlocked violates the requirement for “firmware authenticity”
Some OEMs (Samsung, Xiaomi, etc.) have already disabled bootloader unlock options in EU models to stay compliant.
Sounds like the EU is trying to pull a fast one.

@ETARD_The_LifeCaster August was 2 months ago and i bought a phone with boot unlocking option available. Did you read the article i linked?

"The phone makers who end up disabling the unlocking of bootloaders are all doing so on their own accord, not because some regulation is forcing them to."
