🇫🇷 Les diplomates de l'UE ont discuté du #ChatControl aujourd'hui. Résultat : Pas de majorité ! Le vote prévu la semaine prochaine sera donc annulé.

@echo_pbreyer This is something I don’t understand - wouldn’t that be better to not cancel the voting and just to reject that (as here that was possible)? Instead of postponing it endlessly.

@Osha Well, if you use unencrypted communication, you can expect to be sniffed, right?

You don't send sensitive messages via postcards either, you use an envelope for that.

@echo_pbreyer: Ah, typische EU: "Wir stimmen solange ab, bis uns das Ergebnis passt." Oder wie soll ich das jetzt verstehen, dass eine Abstimmung abgeblasen wird, nur weil für ein bestimmtes Ergebnis keine Mehrheit mehr erwartet wird?

@echo_pbreyer Aber ist nicht schon die nächste geplant im Dezember, bzw. wurde die Abstimmung nicht nur verschoben?

Ich finde dieses Vorgehen ein Unding, immer wieder die Abstimmung absagen/verschieben wenn keine Aussicht auf Erfolg besteht. Sollen die halt endlich abstimmen und wenn die keinen Erfolg haben war es das dann endlich.
