Dear everyone who is currently working on a Thing,
Whatever that Thing may be, Good luck with the Thing.
You can do it. You will succeed. You just have to do it.
Best wishes,
Someone who is also doing a thing

Thank you and good luck with your own thing.
So this is how my mind works... Thing is a severed hand from the Addams family.
So 'doing a thing' some how becomes.... 'Having a wank'
and my immediate, innapropriate response is... maybe later.
My thing is worrying me... after 2 years (with 9 months off in the middle due to a head injury) it is almost finished and I do not have my next thing lined up!

@_aD @cmconseils Fuck if it DON'T!!!!
I'm sick to death of mediocrity!!!
"If it's not broke don't fix it!"
Fuck it...*squish*...how about now? Can I fix it now?

Thank you, that's really welcome.
Fortunately I have great accessible support for my thing - Stephen West #MusiKAL mystery shawl knit, so I can be confident about eventual completion: for me, it's not a race.
May I wish you similar support and a random cheerleader - go you! You've got this! for your thing :)
@cmconseils Thank you for your gently encouraging post.
My Thing today was to try to get Alpine Linux to boot to desktop on an 18 year old netbook.
Now I have to put this Thing aside to do a more important Thing. That Thing is helping First Born get to sleep.
For one day in the not so distant future First Born will do their Thing, spread their wings and fly somewhere else to a place where they want to be.
So I want to make the most of the time I still have with them. Which is also a Thing.
@cmconseils
Thanks
Also, I wrote a thing
Anyone can read it for free over here: https://www.physiciansweekly.com/post/hospital-porter-credits-zombie-reflex-for-fast-knitting-faster-stabbing
Oh, I did the thing. I was entirely successful in doing the thing. Then I knocked over the thing and everything was terrible.
Still, I did the thing.
