I started working out a couple weeks ago. At the start of this week, I tried increasing my plank time by 10sec. longer than what I had been doing. For the last 10, I realized I was saying all this negative stuff to myself: “wow, congratulations, you’re 10 seconds of planking less pathetic than you were a week ago.” Why do we sabotage our own growth?
