She loved this _Far Side_ cartoon, and wrote a foreword for a later Gary Larson collection.

Alexander Corby 🇵🇷@lproven I remember reading about this cartoon. Goodall's publicist at the time apparently became enraged at the implications and threatened to sue Larson. But Goodall later explained she wasn't the least bit offended and hosted Larson and his wife at one of the chimp reserves by way of saying no hard feelings.
Larson was later harassed by a particularly brash male chimp.
