Hmm, maybe they can keep the river from mysteriously turning an unnatural color of green every so often.

@ai6yr oh great, there goes my plan to work as a Chicago area dishwasher by navigating all the Great Lakes and sneaking up the Chicago River.

@AlexanderVI @ai6yr I learned from an Iraqi friend of mine that Chicago is treated as a border town by ISE and DHS and that they have special abilities to stop people and ask for papers because of it. Even citizens should really be carrying passports at all times in #Chicago.

I think the excuse is that #ORD is an international airport. Maybe? Or maybe it's because there are two many black and hispanic people here for the white racist cowards to feel comfortable without the power to stop them.

@poleguy @AlexanderVI @ai6yr it's probably because Chicago is within 100 miles of the border

The Fourth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution protects people from random and arbitrary stops and searches. Although the federal government claims the power to conduct certain kinds of warrantless stops within 100 miles of the U.S. border, important Fourth Amendment protections still apply.
