Guess raccoons like their tomatoes on the vine!

@carolannie Yikes, I hope they didn't do too much damage.
@elaterite just end of season stuff!
@carolannie I'm envious. This is the first year I haven't grown anything since I can't remember. I really miss having fresh veggies, and especially tomatoes, at this time of year.
@elaterite I know. When I lived in an apartment building, not having a garden was the hardest part
@carolannie Ouch. At least something different from what is eating my fruits and vegetables. So many #peskycritters :mainly rats and mice, some ring neck parakeets, wood doves, magpies, jays.
@carolannie Neighbor was saying he thinks coyotes eat tomatoes too. For awhile we were hearing them howl nightly behind his place and in the middle of that week or 10 days several of his tomatoes in his back yard were partially eaten. We do sometimes see raccoons too but not in a long while. Deer tend to eat the whole tomato. (My garden is fenced though).
@GPJohnston I've had coyotes eat melons and berries. I've seen coyotes around, but these tomatoes are in an elevated bed, harder to reach for them. Raccoons are eating mine at the P-Patch too, carefully lining up the bits they don't eat on the edge of the bed
@carolannie Oh noooo! My dog ate tomatoes on the vine. 😬
@CatherineBabault I.ve had dogs eat peas, corn and melons. Eh!
@carolannie 🤣 They'll never cease to surprise me.
