Hier is mijn eerste paar orthopedische schoenen in actie (op Gran Canaria, nu 4 jaar geleden ). Ik heb de foto speciaal gemaakt om aan mijn orthopedische schoenmaker te sturen, want hij heeft een wonder verricht. Zacht, niet zwaar en toch uitstekende steun. @jaapklaver5

This wild Alexander parakeet regularly visits @saarmuller and swings back and forth to get their attention and, indeed, a tasty supper. Needed a hat to stay on during the swings, and my initial thought was an under beak strap, but that just looked uncomfortable so I ended up going for a snug fit beret.

@eclectech And now the challenge: it has trained me to draw my attention by tumbling from the wire above my head. It then swings back and forth before my face so that we can touch nose to beak.
The challenge is: the hat should stay on during this manoeuvre! This is the way to get peanuts of there are more parakeets present!

I want to present a candidate for #sillysummerhatting. Not sure it qualifies as a pet as it is a free living Alexander #parakeet. But the pet shop that sells me the peanuts accepts him s such. He is my very tame special friend and easily recognizable (also due to his handicap: he seems not to be able to swallow properly so he looses a lot of his chewed good). However giving him a hat will be quite a challenge: see the next toot in this thread @eclectech 1/2

@Eetschrijver Ik heb een rare vraag waarvan ik ineens dacht dat jij dat vast weet. We (Fietsersbond) gaan morgen met wat Franse fietsers tellingen doen in Amsterdam. Ik wil uitleggen hoe je moet turven (dat blijken jongeren vaak niet te weten), en natuurlijk kan ik het laten zien. Maar ik weet noch in het Engels noch in het Frans of daar ook zo'n kort en krachtig werkwoord voor bestaat?! En werd nieuwsgierig. Zoeken levert niks op.
