@SnowyCA The Vanguard Group own the most shares, and have the biggest seat at the corporate table of General Mills, who own Crocker. Then it is Black Rock and State Street Global Advisors. They want as much return as possible. Screw grandma.

@SnowyCA 86% of the company is owned by institutional investors, even though it is a public company. Those people pull the strings. They want return on investment, not stable brand, a good product and happy customers.
