These a$$hole voters switched parties in disgust at Civil Rights, left the Dems & joined the GOP, and started cutting taxes on the rich & on corporations. You witnessed it. You lived through it. There were FAR fewer billionaires and their total net worth was a MUCH smaller slice of the pie in 1964 when the Civil Rights Act passed. That is the last year a Democrat won a majority o white voters.

Luna Lactea@rbreich Why does this account post images with no alt text & not even the normal text field filled out constantly? I can't see the images since I have a bad Internet connection, but I still get the blurry placeholder & it's white with some grey in the center, which usually turns out to be a screenshot of text. Is that what these are? You don't have to write in your notepad, take a screenshot, & attach the screenshot. Mastodon has a text field at the top of posts, you can just write there.
I'm just confused on what these are since they're constantly on the trending page & I can't see them.
