I'm traveling in an #Ouigo branded TGV for the first time. It goes fast through the landscape, so there's that* but otherwise I am really unpleasantly surprised at how much #SNCF managed to downgrade the TGV experience.

Ougio feels like an Eurolines bus doing 300kph.

Here's two photos with the view from our seats.

*Toddler Grande Vitesse #train #toddlerRail

Positive: fast, on time, smooth ride, tgv experience. French people arguing over luggage space.

Negative: cramped, dragging toddler & stroller up narrow stairs, no place for a loaded stroller, paid wifi, air quality. French people arguing over luggage space.

Bonus positive: there's a kitten with its own Ouigo themed carrier. Toddler waved at it.

Edit: neither positive or negative. There's dedicated child changing rooms. But the ceilings are too low for me to move around..

Cat left :-( And now I'm longing for the bar of a RealTGV.

View outside is good on this (Paris centre to Rennes as high-speed, from there as pretty decent bumblefuckspeed) route though. We're currently following the river Vilaine and it's all picturesque with wavy hills and green villages.

As requested two bonus photos of TGV #train #cat. Only as it's #Caturday ;-)

Reminds me of the ICE trip where I spend a couple of hours feeding bits of my lunch to two #parrots: https://mastodon.online/@Pepijn/108656311072158226

Very different experiences. I'd love to repeat both.

@Pepijn I'm looking at cat lady's crocheted project bag and her knitted sweater
