@SKleefeld @ami_angelwings
The movie version made a little sense. She lost her brother and now she's alone in America, living in Avengers tower, with this very weird, very kind stranger. They both learn together.
I wish the movies had spent more time on them.
@ami_angelwings Kumiko and Shuichi in Hibike Euphonium
I don't actually care, it's the bad fandom that screams about that and the "yuri bait" and etc etc.
@ami_angelwings Alicia and her supposed (since we never actually see him) husband in #ARIAtheORIGINATION.
I utterly adore #ARIA but Kozue Amano’s refusal to commit to yuri pairings actively ruined S2 of #Amanchu for me.

Empire Strikes Back is probably the best Star Wars movie, but every scene with Han and Leia is cringe inducing.
Leia was such an inspiring bad ass in Star Wars. Then Lucas's wife left him, and he never wrote a decent role for a woman again.
The entire Star Wars franchise is built on the strength of the middle third of one movie.
Yeah, Anikin & Padme are both psychos, and Rei and Kylo never felt romantic to me at all.
@zhinxy honestly I think he was just burnt out at that point given that he thought it was ending in season 4 and he didn't want to fight for another lesbian pairing, but he's wrong that there's no meat on the bone, Lita was the one that revealed her girlfriend was a plant and basically "killed" her, but Lita is also not psi corps and there's a lot of interesting love/hate tension to do there
It made no sense that Ivanova instantly was okay with Lita when she basically became their fill in telepath when Ivanova hates every telepath as it is and was only warming up to Talia and then she turned out to be evil
@zhinxy JMS rightfuily gets a lot of credit for his "escape hatches" for characters and their replacements not just being a 1:1 substitution and the plot actually changes with them, but I feel like Lita is the one where he clearly was starting to get burnt out/checked out and didn't care enough to give her anything distinct to do until season 5 when he just shoved her into the Byron arc, and it was clear that was meant to be Ivanova's arc had Christian returned (which would ALSO have sucked)
but Lita showed back up and was just plugged into the "good telepath slot" and accepted by everybody despite that they have no reason to trust her, and Ivanova especially should just hate her...
