One of the companies I consult with dropped a heads up in the Slack channel that someone was sending out requests claiming to be their CEO asking for Apple gift cards and not to respond because it’s a scam. I replied I know he only accepts Google Play cards but nobody laugh reacted so I’m sharing my joke here because I need dopamine
@dramypsyd
I thought it was good. πŸ˜†

@dramypsyd That sounds like something I would have said. Also probably would have received a similar reaction.

When someone at work message me asking "are you free right now" I tell them that normally I charge, but sure. Nobody seems to get it. πŸ™„

@dramypsyd Okay, but seriously, that hilarious. Jerks don't know funny.
@dramypsyd
It’s funny! Don’t give up. Maybe they can be trained to laugh… πŸ˜†
@dramypsyd I would have literally LOLed.

@dramypsyd πŸ˜‚

I gotta keep that in mind in case it comes up at my work, I think it'd get a few laughs

@dramypsyd You're underappreciated. That was funny as heck.
@dramypsyd What?! I thought it was Robux???
@dramypsyd funny! Everyone not laughing already had accepted one of those gift cards 😜

@dramypsyd πŸ˜‚

It’s a good joke.
Maybe they don’t laugh because there have been actual cases of bribery and they are either embarrassed or nervous.
Or they just don’t appreciate a good joke.

@dramypsyd @briankrebs shoulda said he only accepts concert tickets.
@dramypsyd
See if you can find some "culture of feedback" courses to send your managers on - don't worry it's not cruel they wouldn't be managers if they hated that stuff
@dramypsyd a couple years back a scammer sent messages to the company's phones, pretending to be the CEO and asking for Steam Cards, which was hilarious.
@dramypsyd frick i know someone who was asked to buy apple gift cards in that context
@dramypsyd we get these so regularly that we have a custom itunes gift card in our faculty slack πŸ˜€
