They held him like this for 100 days.
@georgetakei the question is also why are we treating prisoners like this in federal prison? They don’t deserve that. No one does.

@cs @georgetakei Yeah, may some good come of it, now it's getting out and getting some international attention.

@georgetakei why are tourists still going to the US? Are they crazy?

@georgetakei Has no one thought to sue them? Aren't there laws protecting inmates? (I'm not American, so these are legit questions.)
@georgetakei Such a civilised society.

@georgetakei „We don‘t go to Ravenholm…“ I would rather do so than travel to the 🇺🇸.

The rest of the world should (must) issue a travel warning for its citizens regarding the USA. "It is highly likely that you will be classified as illegal by immigration authorities and taken hostage."

@georgetakei The Prison Industrial Complex needs to be outlawed.
@georgetakei What I absolutely don't get: why do they detain them? If a country doesn't want someone to enter it, I guess it's okay to simply send the person back, maybe detain her or him until the return flight starts. But if the person is unwanted in the country, why detain her or him in the country? For me that sounds highly unreasonable. But maybe "highly unreasonable" is what drives the current US-American gouvernement?

@agitatra @georgetakei private prisons get paid per prisoner, probably give kickbacks to officials who send them prisoners as an incentive. Capitalism and Corruption.

Sometimes it's just sadism though.

@georgetakei

I can't fathom why anybody would even want to _work_ in a place like that, much less forced to be detained there.
