@hyperawarebear Hello! Nice to meet you! I am basically into everything you just mentioned!
@lapis That's awesome! I see you're into crochet. I just picked it back up as one of my many rotating special interests and I'm doing my first amigurumi piece. It kind of hurts my fingers trying to make everything tight. But I have to so the stuffing doesn't poke out, right? Or I was thinking I might sew some kind of inner pocket or use nylons or something to hold the stuffing possibly... anyway, hello!! 👋

@hyperawarebear have you ever stuffed anything before? Because my first amigurumi piece was a disaster because I didn't know how to stuff properly

I can offer advice if you like

@lapis never! I would love advice. I just figured smush it in would suffice?

@hyperawarebear At the very least that was what I did with my first piece and it did not work for me.

What I do now is take a handful of stuffing, pull it apart / fluff it a bunch, THEN stuff it in. It works so much better. Less lumpy, less limp

@lapis Ooooh! Definitely would not have thought to do that. What kind of stuffing do you prefer? I went for the basic poly-fill simply because it was easily available. But I've heard there's better/different stuff out there.
@hyperawarebear I'm certain other stuff is better but a bag of polyfill will last you forever--Despite all my amigurumi I've barely made a dent in my package of it
