The bigger knurling was a modification to the seat post on the folding e-bike. It's Chrome surface was just too smooth and slippery and when I would hit bumps it would slide down into the frame. Hopefully this will help.
The smaller knurling was also for a bike. It's part of my solution for connecting my Sturmey Archer hub to a shifter cable since i somehow lost that connector.
Welding something this tiny without melting it was hard.

It's not as pretty as the commercial version, but hopefully it will work just as well
I had to redo two of the welds, but now it works and the bike has three working speeds
